About Elizabeth and Kathy:

Kathy Wipff has been a yoga teacher for 18 years. She began her studies in 1986 Marin County California with Iyengar yoga when it was the only game in town. Later she added an Ashtanga element to her training.

Small HH KWShe completed her first YTT in 1996 Diana Beardsley and Steve Walther at Center for Yoga in LA. and in 2002 at City Yoga with Naime Jezzeny and Anthony Benenati. She has also completed advanced teacher trainings and workshops with Rodney Yee, Paul Grilley, Gary Kraftsow, and Jill Miller. In 2013, she became a certified Yoga Tune Up® instructor. She did Crossfit for five years and holds a Crossfit Mobility Certification.

Kathy has been privileged to share the joy of her 30+ year yoga journey with her dearest daughter beginning at age four with a book called “Be a Bird, Be a Frog, Be a Tree.” Rolling around on the floor (walls, tables) playing yoga with friends and family remains one of her favorite activities.

Elizabeth Wipff is a lifelong yogi, avid CrossFitter, lead Yoga Tune Up® teacher/teacher trainer, and committed CrossFit coach with an insatiable eagerness to help students streamline movement, improve performance, and eliminate pain. Her athletic endeavors started early: she walked at 7 months, was roller skating at 3 and did her first yoga pose at 4! As a kid she played soccer and studied dance, Iyengar yoga, and therapeutic movement modalities. Elizabeth’s lifelong passion for movement; years of theater studies; love of show tunes; enthusiasm for fostering healthy functional movement in her clients; and knack for communicating information concisely and convincingly make her a sought after teacher.

She is a certified yoga teacher with studies in multiple disciplines from Iyengar-inspired alignment practices to creative, flowing vinyasa and has studied with Alison West, Rod Stryker, Dana Flynn, Rodney Yee, and Jill Miller. About Genny

Genny Kapuler has studied yoga since 1976 and has been teaching since 1980. She has studied three times in India with the Iyengar family. Her primary teacher here is Mary Dunn.

Before the birth of her child and before she began teaching yoga, Genny performed as a modern dancer; for many years she had her own company. She is also trained as an Alexander-technique teacher and is a practitioner of Body-Mind Centering.

In addition to her yoga training, Genny has studied anatomy extensively.

She applies this knowledge to her understanding and teaching of yoga, directing her students toward a deeper awareness in asana and pranayama through precision of alignment. Genny also uses the poetics of language to guide her students, and to create “a mind-state in the room that is gentle and focused.”

Through Iyengar Yoga, she says, students attain ever more precise alignment of the skeletal-muscular, organ, and nervous systems. Working towards harmony of body, mind, and spirit, they are able to move out into the world with more grace.

Description

Join Maya Ray and Caitlin Casella for a spacious weekend of yoga, play and deep rest. All levels are welcome. Turn off your phone, relax in a hammock, take a dip in the swimmin’ hole, and nourish yourself with delicious garden to table food. In the evening, warm up with good company around the campfire or a late night soak in a hot tub under the stars!

About Maya and Caitlin

Maya Ray is a Certified Rolfer and a 500-hour Yoga Works teacher. She is a lifelong student of the human form and has studied anatomy and physiology quite extensively through human movement, structural integration, and cadaver dissections. Maya looks at teaching yoga and working as a Rolfer as similar in process. Both modalities peel away layers of stress, tension, and other maladaptive patterns so that everyone can be clearer in their bodies and their lives. Maya also teaches anatomy for yoga teacher trainings in New York and is an assistant teacher trainer at Yoga Works. www.mayaray.com

Caitlin Casella is a 500-hour YogaWorks certified teacher and trainer for YogaWorks 200 and 500 hour programs in the US and Japan. After moving to New York in 1999, Caitlin turned to yoga for stability and solace. Today the alignment and precision of Iyengar yoga, combined with a meditative union of movement and breath inspires her practice. Caitlin’s yoga classes are both physically challenging and quietly introspective. A slow flow, breath-centered approach teaches conscious transitions, integrated movement and embodied anatomy. Expect to work mindfully and deeply. Get to know your body better and walk away feeling stronger, lighter, and refreshed. www.caitlincasella.com

Oct. 18-20, 2013 – Jeanmarie Paolillo “Yoga Vibe-a-Thon”

JeanMarie Description

Humans are creative beings. Beyond the mundane experiences that we produce on a day to day basis, we strive to create as a mechanism to both express who we are and live life to its fullest. And yet, those desires may never come to fruition. Our dreams and aspirations are often held captive to deeply held patterns of thought, word and deed known in yoga as samskaras.

Join Jeanmarie for a weekend of asana, meditation and workshop dedicated to a deeper understanding of creating from the standpoint of the philosophy of yoga; a peek into the mind and how it works; the importance of meditation and mindfulness in creating; and how to apply these practical tools to more effectively and actively create in your life.

About Jeanmarie

Jeanmarie Paolillo is a senior teacher, teacher trainer and mentor at Yoga Works in New York City. She leads trainings and workshops on asana, the philosophy of yoga, meditation and mindfulness, and the energetic body internationally. The fundamental purpose of yoga for Jeanmarie is learning to be present in the moment. She lives in the passionate belief that all things in life are possible and the_vibe_a_thon_smthat manifestation requires an understanding that everything is the culmination of our thoughts. The journey of yoga leads the practitioner to a place of awareness regarding the life they are creating so they can consciously create their lives – as evidenced by her own leap from the corporate world after 20 years. She is known for her strong vinyasa classes that emphasize alignment as a tool for mindfulness, truly meditation in motion. Through a combination of asana, pranayama, visualization and meditation mixed with a great sense of humor, Jeanmarie strives to bring what she has learned to others while receiving lessons from those she teaches. Jeanmarie has been featured in Natural Health Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Yoga Journal and has appeared on Weddings.com and the CBS Morning Show. She is part of the Expert Network for Greatest.com and a featured contributor to The Daily Love. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University and is in the process of completing studies toward a Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (May, 2013).
