Tobie was introduced to yoga in her early twenties but didn’t start a dedicated practice until her 29th birthday when her mother brought her to Kripalu Center in the Berkshires. Since then she has completed her 200hr certification in an Iyengar influenced style of yoga. She has learned from teachers such as Rodney Yee, Seane Corn, Rolf Gates, Baron Baptiste and Stephen Cope. Tobie teaches a vinyasa style of yoga with an attention to form and alignment. She believes that form and alignment are the keys to freedom in the body and freedom in the breath. Being a massage therapist for the last 20 years and receiving her masters in clinical nutrition in 2010. Tobie has a well rounded understanding of the body. Her classes are challenging and fun while giving the students an awareness that they are ultimately their own teacher and can guide their practice to fit their needs.
Kristin’s yoga journey started as a way to decompress from the strenuous college grind in 2010. After being immersed in a strong yoga community with Baptiste roots, it became clear that she felt called to teach. She completed her 200hr and 300hr in 2016 and 2018 respectively, and since then her passion as a teacher is to guide others through their own exploration of the mind and body because without this inquiry, we do a disservice to our authentic purpose in relation to our world. Her diverse background of teaching experience spans from a variety of populations, including patients with eating disorders and incarcerated individuals. Her classes are led intuitively with enthusiasm and some challenge, while still providing a space for students to connect with their deep inner work. Off the mat, she continues to explore the Self through tarot, nature and crystal healing.
