Since a young age, Marissa had always been drawn to meditation and yoga to help ease anxiety while in search of a deeper purpose. She began her journey by teaching herself through many books. Wanting to gain more knowledge, she embarked on a teacher training. Immediately after receiving her 200 RYT she began teaching, wanting to bring the peace and clarity she felt from her yoga practice to others. A few years later she went on to receive her 500 RYT through Sri Dharma Mitra, her practice and teachings then began to evolve into a deeper more spiritual practice. She is forever grateful to share Sri Dharma Mittra’s physical and spiritual teachings with others. “Everything is perfect, that is the beauty of yoga; to bring our consciousness to this level.” Sri Dharma Mittra
Julie discovered the life changing practice of Yoga over a dozen years ago and has been following the connection of breath to movement ever since. She holds her 200 RYT as well as Advanced Training Certifications in Restorative Yoga, and is a Certified Reiki Level 2 practitioner. A longtime student, she has found the practice to be instrumental in recovery from emotional and physical trauma as well as reveal a deeper understanding of our true selves. Julie teaches the principles of yoga through pranayama, meditation and asana and incorporating these mindful practices into a balanced and joyful life both on and off the mat.
