Heathen Hill is pleased to present these outstanding guest teachers
Join Corina Benner for 4 Days/3 Nights at the Heavenly Heathen Hill Yoga Center in the Catskills of New York for amazing, enriching yoga & meditation practices, the most delicious food ever, fresh air, a swimming hole, hot tub, hammocks, hula hoops, s’mores, campfire dance parties, and more!
Going on retreat is not the same as escaping. Rather than seeking entertainment and distraction to avoid the challenges and difficulties life naturally presents, retreats offer the opportunity to sit with what is so; feel deeply into one’s experience; contemplate events, understand one’s role in the continuous unfolding, and integrate the lessons. This process allows the release of what has been and empowers you to consciously and creatively contribute to what will be.
This is my fourth time making the pilgrimage up to the whimsical fairyland of Heathen Hill Yoga and I must say each return somehow gets a little bit better.
Our practices will be a blend of pranayama, yin & slow flow yoga, a few restorative poses, meditation, visualization and deep rest. Don’t fret if you haven’t been practicing as much as you wish. Many of us have felt timid about getting back to the mat. Some of us have felt disillusioned by the fall of false gurus, and the ‘love & light’ platitudes that deny how hard life can be. I’ll admit sometimes my own cynicism is an obstacle I must overcome in order to viscerally connect with the magic and mystery of embodied practices. Join me in returning to your practice as a gesture of coming home to yourself and leave feeling well-resourced to meet the demands of your life with ease, humor and grace.

Corina Benner incubates super-heroes. As a yoga and meditation teacher she focuses on awakening students’ inner-teacher; connecting them with their innate wisdom, strength, resilience and fortitude. While helping them live boldly with authenticity, passion, humor and joy, she reminds seekers of the astonishing nature of this miraculous existence and the extraordinary beauty of one’s exquisite human body. Her cheerful demeanor, positive vibrations and contagious optimism empower students of all levels to practice with enthusiasm, while her detailed instruction, poetic language and intelligent sequencing create a safe space for students to explore the landscapes of their body, mind, heart and soul. She has enjoyed teaching vinyasa yoga since 1999 and yin yoga since 2004, and mindfulness/awareness meditation since 2015, and she continues to teach workshops and teacher trainings locally, nationally and internationally. From 2002-2020, she owned and operated Wake Up Yoga, one of the original yoga centers in Philadelphia and has had amazing experiences as a teacher, business owner and perhaps most of all, a student herself. While she may have actually saved a few lives during her twenty-six years as a yoga teacher, mostly she prides herself on helping to bring people back to life.
