About James

JLoneyJames Loney’s life-long interest in meditation was first sparked many years ago through a week-long silent meditation course he happened to audit at a German university. Impressed by the ardency of his first teachers — whose silent meditation and chanting began at 4:00 am every day — James took ‘the technique’ back to everyday life on the streets of Berlin, practicing daily, reading the Buddhist suttras, and adopting the teachings to his everyday life. A social activist all his life, today James leads a thriving meditation community in Northern Manhattan. www. heightsmeditation.com.
